2003年，北京倚天云母制品有限公司在北京成立，2008年，倚天云母正式迁入北京中关村科技园，2009年，倚天云母获得国家“高新技术企业”荣誉证书，并通过ISO9001质量管理体系认证， 2011年，公司自主研发的“多层耐火云母带”项目被中华人民共和国科学技术部批准为“国家火炬计划项目”,获得由国家科学技术部颁发的“国家火炬计划项目证书”，2012年，入围 “瞪羚企业”，2013年，建立河北生产基地，同年，倚天云母改制为股份制，并成功登录“新三板”。2015年，并购公司上游平江县盛盈云母工业有限公司，2016年投资组建北京倚云仓电子商务有限公司，2017年，投资组建湖南睿达云母新材料有限公司。倚天云母长期以来以专注的经营思路、专业的技术团队，立足云母产业并稳步发展，目前已经建立集云母矿料进口、云母纸加工、云母带生产一体的现代化生产销售体系，拥有河北、湖南两个云母生产基地。
