南京市政公用工程质量检测中心有限公司经1998年宁公组字[98]80号文批准授权成立，为独立法人企业单位，行政上隶属于南京市市政工程质量安全监督站，业务上接受省、市建设行政主管部门的指导，独立对外行文和开展业务活动，检测范围涉及42个大项，313个参数。试验室面积达5000多平方米，主要仪器设备近500余台（套），固定资产总值800多万元。拥有一批素质高、熟悉法律法规和国内外标准规范、有一定检测经验的专业技术人员。
