Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, LGD owns the world's first factories using fourth-generation and fifth-generation production lines, operates the world's largest eighth-generation TFT-LCD factory, and its annual shipments account for more than one-fifth of the total global market output. LGD's technical standards are widely recognized as the industry standard for TFT-LCD, and it holds multiple patented technologies.
