Chongqing Vocational College of Applied Technology

Chongqing Vocational College of Applied Technology is a full-time regular higher education institution approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government in 2005, registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.
The college has a long history, tracing its origins to the Social University founded in 1946 by the renowned educator Mr. Tao Xingzhi. The college is located in the University Park of Hechuan District, Chongqing. The campus has a planned land area of 500 mu, with 218 mu of existing construction land and nearly 100,000 square meters of completed school buildings. The campus is fully equipped with facilities and has an elegant environment, and is a "Safe Campus" of Chongqing.
Based in Chongqing and serving the western region, the college focuses on industrial structural adjustment, regional economic and social development, and the demand for scarce talent in advanced manufacturing, strategic emerging industries, and modern service industries, accelerating its service to the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. It has established 6 secondary schools: the School of Preschool Education, the School of Internet Information, the School of Health Industry, the School of Intelligent Automotive Engineering, the School of Intelligent Construction and Management, and the Department of Public Basic Teaching (Department of Ideological and Political Theory Education and Teaching), offering more than 30 majors such as preschool education, early education, community rehabilitation, health management, big data and accounting, computer network technology, big data technology, automotive electronics technology, new energy vehicle technology, and construction engineering technology, with more than 8,000 enrolled students.
The college adheres to the strategy of strengthening the school with talent and emphasizes the construction of the teaching staff. It currently has more than 400 faculty and staff members, possessing a team of expert and backbone teachers combining theoretical teaching with industry and enterprise practice, and has formed a double-qualified teacher team with teachers holding associate senior professional and technical titles or above as the core, backbone teachers as the main body, and industry and enterprise experts and skilled personnel participating.
The college attaches great importance to school-enterprise cooperation, vigorously promotes the teaching model of industry-education integration, work-study combination, and the "1+X Certificate" system, and strengthens skill training. It currently has 5 on-campus training centers compatible with its majors, has signed cooperation agreements with well-known kindergartens, hospitals, health and elderly care institutions, automobile manufacturers, software companies, technology companies, and other enterprises and institutions as well as government agencies, and has established more than 200 off-campus internship and training bases.
