Chongqing Dike Engineering Survey and Design Institute is a branch of the 208 Hydrogeological and Engineering Geological Team of Chongqing Geological Exploration Bureau and Chongqing Geological Disaster Prevention Engineering Survey and Design Institute. It was established in 1953 and is located in the picturesque Beibei District of Chongqing's main urban area. It is a professional team specializing in geological disaster prevention engineering survey, design and research, geotechnical engineering, hydrogeological and environmental geological survey, mineral resources exploration and development, investment and financing, and real estate development and management, and is an institutional legal entity.
The institute currently has 659 employees, including 436 professional and technical personnel, 13 professor-level senior engineers, 4 personnel enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 82 senior engineers, 173 engineers, and 38 various registered professionals. It holds Grade A qualifications issued by the Ministry of Land and Resources for geological disaster assessment, survey, design, construction, supervision, hydrogeological and environmental geological survey, and liquid mineral exploration; Grade B qualification certificates for solid mineral exploration, engineering construction, and geophysical exploration. It holds Grade A qualifications for geotechnical engineering and hydrogeological survey issued by the Ministry of Construction. It is an ISO9001:2000 quality management system certified unit.
