太初元碁的初始研发团队成员来自清华大学和国家超级计算无锡中心，团队成员在高性能处理器设计、超算系统建设和运维领域拥十年以上的技术积累和工程经验，参与了以“神威·太湖之光”为代表的多个超算系统的设计、建设和运维工作；并连续两年获得超算领域“戈登·贝尔”奖。同时，团队成员在系统软件研发与并行应用优化领域有丰富的创新成果，近五年内在Nature Method / SC / PPoPP / TC / TPDS / AAAI / IJCAI等高性能计算和人工智能领域国际会议和期刊上发表论文数十篇。
