To implement the important spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee on 'accelerating the transformation and application of major scientific and technological achievements', and to actively respond to the strategic deployment of the Central Committee's 'Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan', while seizing the historic opportunity of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation and upgrading. On December 3, 2025, the Nansha District of Guangzhou signed a cooperation agreement with Guangdong University of Technology to jointly build the 'Guangzhou Nansha Future Industry Technology Innovation Research Institute' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Future Institute'). The Future Institute is a public institution with independent legal personality. With the core mission of achievement transformation and industrial incubation, it focuses on emerging and future industry fields such as new materials, new energy, artificial intelligence, and marine equipment. Guided by national scientific and technological innovation and local development strategic needs, it aims to build a source of scientific and technological innovation, a new platform for R&D and transformation, and a gathering place for high-end talents, integrating industrial research, concept verification, pilot testing, enterprise incubation, and industrialization acceleration.
