Guangzhou Nansha District Maternal and Child Health Hospital

Guangzhou Nansha District Maternal and Child Health Hospital is a non-profit public specialized hospital constructed according to the "Grade II Level A" standard, featuring gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and neonatology as its specialized characteristics, while also comprehensively developing internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, stomatology, and traditional Chinese medicine, with a complete maternal and child health care system. The hospital is located in the Nansha Free Trade Zone, which has won the gold medal of the United Nations "Global Best Livable City Award", and is situated at the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Pearl River Delta, connecting Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao. It serves as a transportation hub for the Beijing-Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, Beijing-Zhuhai-Macao Intercity Rail, Pearl River Delta Intercity Rail, Guangzhou Metro, and Shenzhen-Maoming High-Speed Railway. The hospital currently has the main campus, Hongling campus, and 15 village health clinics. The hospital covers an area of 22,100 square meters, with a building area of 13,600 square meters. The hospital has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation, serving as the critical care center for severe pregnant women and children in Nansha District, with obstetrics and gynecology departments designated as Class IV midwifery institutions. Additionally, it has a high level of comprehensive medical service capabilities in orthopedics, internal medicine, hand surgery, pain management, otorhinolaryngology, and dermatology cosmetology, equipped with many advanced medical devices. In April 2014, it was officially designated as a management and guidance hospital of Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center. It is also the designated hospital for birth defect intervention screening of major diseases and premarital medical examinations in Nansha District, the Guangzhou Birth Defect Intervention Center, the designated hospital for the treatment of syphilis and AIDS in pregnant women in Nansha District, and the district's technical guidance and training center for maternal and child health care.
The hospital currently has 170 beds and 263 employees, including 19 senior professional titles and 46 intermediate professional titles, among whom are 4 chief physicians, 15 associate chief physicians, and 5 postgraduate degree holders. It is equipped with a large number of advanced medical devices, including the American LOGIQ P5 four-dimensional color ultrasound, CT, digital X-ray machine (DR), German Siemens breast molybdenum target, visible painless abortion system, German Wolf laparoscope, hysteroscope, colposcope, gynecological ultrasound therapeutic instrument, LEEP knife, fetal central monitoring system, Philips central monitoring system (with six monitors), Drager neonatal ventilator (imported), Drager anesthesia machine (imported), automatic brainstem auditory evoked potential instrument (AABR), neonatal hearing (vision) screening instrument, Olympus electronic nasopharyngoscope (imported), hemoglobin electrophoresis analyzer, trace element detector, sperm analyzer, and many other advanced medical equipment. Obstetrics, gynecology, and neonatology are key specialties in Nansha District, and the main campus also has specialized clinics for traditional Chinese medicine infertility, nephrology, orthopedic surgery, proctology, and diabetes.
In April 2014, Guangzhou Women and Children Medical Center dispatched a team of management and maternal and child experts to work in the hospital, introducing refined management according to the Grade II Level A hospital standard, carrying out continuous quality improvement activities, comprehensively enhancing the professional level of our hospital, and safeguarding the health of women and children in Nansha District and surrounding areas.
