Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower Tea Co., Ltd. is an enterprise subordinate to Wuhan Supply and Marketing Cooperative (formerly Wuhan Tea Company). Founded in 1951, it currently has 230 employees and has been committed to serving "agriculture, rural areas and farmers", promoting the industrialization of tea, and publicizing tea culture.
In recent years, following the approach of "building markets, establishing bases, creating brands, and opening chain stores", the company has continuously developed. It owns two large tea wholesale markets, Hankou Tea Market and Luyu Tea Capital, one in the north and one in the south, echoing each other from afar. The operating area is 40,000 square meters, with more than 600 settled merchants. The markets gather famous and high-quality tea brands from all over the country, with an annual transaction volume of more than 2 billion yuan. The two markets are bridges connecting tea farmers and consumers, and are also ideal places for citizens to buy tea, taste tea and relax.
The company now has 10,000 mu of organic and green ecological tea garden bases in Shennongjia, Yunguidi and around Wuhan, and has built 8 professional cooperatives; it has one modern tea primary processing factory and one refining processing factory; it has created the "Tianlong" and "Yellow Crane Tower" brand series. At present, Yellow Crane Tower brand tea, Yellow Crane Tower cigarettes and Yellow Crane Tower liquor are advancing side by side, becoming another specialty product of Wuhan. The company has more than 30 tea specialty stores and shelves in large shopping malls such as Zhongbai Warehousing and Zhongbai Supermarkets across the province and city, with annual tea sales of more than 200 tons and a tea market share of more than 40%. In September 2011, "Yellow Crane Tower Tea" was awarded the title of "Hubei Ecological Famous Tea", and the company was recognized as a leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in Hubei Province, a leading forestry enterprise in Wuhan City, and an advanced unit in the national supply and marketing cooperative system.
