Founded in 2001, North International Cooperation Co., Ltd. is the international economic and technical cooperation business segment of China North Industries Corporation, and is also a listed company within the NORINCO system (stock code: 000065). After more than 20 years of operation in the international market, the company has developed into a comprehensive international engineering general contractor with capabilities ranging from project financing, design, procurement, construction, and operation to system integration.
NORINCO International is a member of the China Chamber of International Commerce, the China International Contractors Association, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, and the China-Russia Machinery and Electronics Chamber of Commerce.
The company holds first-class general contracting qualifications for municipal public works and building construction, as well as first-class qualifications for the construction and design of building curtain wall projects, issued by the Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic of China. It also possesses the qualification for foreign contracted projects issued by the Ministry of Commerce, and is among the first batch of A-level complete project construction enterprises for foreign aid designated by the Ministry of Commerce. The company has been rated as an "AAA credit enterprise" by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products. Furthermore, it has passed the ISO9001:2000 quality system certification and the China Fangyuan product quality certification.
Over the years, NORINCO International's engineering general contracting business has focused on professional fields such as international market rail transit, electric power, industry, agriculture, municipal engineering, housing construction, and petroleum and mineral facility construction. It has established extensive economic and technical cooperation and trade relations with many countries and regions worldwide. Through international competitive bidding and negotiated bidding, it has undertaken 48 large and medium-sized engineering projects in 21 countries and regions across Asia, Africa, and Europe using EPC and BOT models. At present, the contract amount of projects signed and under execution is USD 4.76 billion. In recent years, the company has consistently ranked among the ENR magazine's Top 225 international contractors (ranked together with China Wanbao Engineering Corporation) based on international engineering turnover.
