Company Overview:
Shanghai Xinyao Electronics Co., Ltd. was established in April 2002. In July 2009, its industrial and commercial registration and tax relations were officially transferred to Jiading Industrial Park. The company's predecessor was the "Shanghai Automotive Electronics Engineering Center," jointly established in September 1998 under the promotion of Shanghai municipal government leaders by the Shanghai Sedan Localization Office, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group), and the Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (now renamed Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology). It was one of the earliest industry-university-research pilot units in Shanghai.
With integrity, innovation, quality, and efficiency as the company's development policy, it always focuses on high technology and emphasizes independent intellectual property development. The company's main R&D directions are LED automotive lighting and related control modules, HID (gas discharge lamp) ballasts, and sensors, controllers, and actuators related to automotive auxiliary safety systems, with over 60 new project developments each year.
During the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period, the company participated in the 863 key projects: among them, the "Independent R&D of LED Automotive Lamps" project won the second prize of the Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award, and the "Independent Development of Automotive Electronic Signal Lamps" won the third prize from the "Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award Fund Committee." In 2006, the company participated in the Municipal Science and Technology Commission's "Application of High-Brightness LED White Light in Automotive Lamps" project. In the same year, it participated in the municipal climbing plan "R&D of Ultra-High-Brightness LED Automotive Lamps Applied to Clean Energy Vehicles." In October 2010, it completed the acceptance of the Shanghai Science and Technology Little Giant Cultivation Enterprise project. In November 2010, it completed the acceptance of the Shanghai Economic Commission's "Research and Industrialization of Intelligent Automotive LED Light Driving Modules" project. In 2012, it completed the acceptance of the Shanghai Economic Commission's major project for Shanghai high-tech industrialization, "Automotive Intelligent Lighting System (ILS)."
The company's R&D and production of automotive electronic products are widely used in major domestic car manufacturers such as Shanghai General Motors, Shanghai Volkswagen, SAIC Motor, FAW-Volkswagen, FAW Car, Toyota Motor, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile, Chery Automobile, and GAC Motor.
Since 2004, the company has been continuously rated as a Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise. In 2008, it was rated as a Shanghai Little Giant Cultivation Enterprise. Since its establishment, the company has grown and developed continuously, transforming from a professional research and development institution into a market-oriented industry-university-research integrated high-tech enterprise, developing from a small enterprise with an annual output value of 8 million yuan to a medium-sized enterprise with annual production and sales of 800 million yuan. Especially in the past two years, benefiting from the national policy guiding the development of clean energy vehicles, the company's R&D of multiple energy-saving products has been put into production one after another, and the market response has been good.
