Introduction to JAL Group
Japan Airlines was founded in August 1951, and in October 2002, it merged with Japan Air System to establish the new Japan Airlines Group. Currently, the Japan Airlines Group operates a fleet of 224 aircraft, primarily Boeing series, with 395 international routes (including cargo flights and code-sharing flights) and 117 domestic routes within Japan, covering 51 countries (regions) and 305 airports worldwide.


Introduction to Japan Airlines Shanghai Branch
In September 1974, Japan Airlines began flights to China, and the Shanghai Branch was established. The first flight took off on September 29, 1974. Since then, operations have expanded from 2 flights per week to 98 flights per week, in addition to 125 code-sharing flights with China Eastern Airlines, serving cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka in Japan. On September 29, 2007, the Shanghai Hongqiao = Tokyo Haneda route was opened, and on October 25, 2015, the Shanghai Pudong = Tokyo Haneda route was launched, facilitating travel for more business passengers.


Currently, the branch has approximately 288 employees (including Chinese staff, Japanese staff, and Chinese cabin crew).

The Shanghai Branch sales office is located at Huaihai International Plaza, while the Shanghai Airport Office and Shanghai Cargo Office are situated within Pudong International Airport, and the Hongqiao Airport Office is located within Hongqiao International Airport.
