China Railway 12th Bureau

China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited. It holds special-grade qualifications for general contracting of railway engineering construction, first-grade qualifications for general contracting of housing construction, highway, water conservancy and hydropower engineering construction, as well as numerous professional contracting qualifications. Its business scope covers railways, highways, bridges, municipal works, urban light rail, subways, water conservancy and hydropower, airports, electric power, communications, signaling, electrified catenary, high-rise buildings, grain silos, etc., with operations covering the whole country and extending overseas. The enterprise was formerly the Second Division of the Railway Corps, with its earliest history traceable to the Hui People's Detachment of the Hebei-Shandong Border Region established in 1940. In 1984, it was collectively transferred to civilian work and renamed the Twelfth Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Railways. In 1998, it was restructured into an enterprise group. Since 1997, it has successively passed ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, and OHSMS18001 Occupational Health Management System certifications. In 1999, it obtained the qualification certificate for foreign contracted engineering operations issued by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. The group's headquarters is located at No. 130 Xikuang Street, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province.
