Its business scope covers Chinese herbal medicines, prepared slices of Chinese medicines, proprietary Chinese medicines, chemical drug preparations, antibiotics, biochemical drugs, biological products (excluding vaccines), Class II psychotropic drugs, medical devices, health foods, prepackaged foods, disinfectant products, cosmetics, etc. The company was formerly known as Shanxi Kangmeilai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., established on June 8, 1999. In February 2018, Tianjin Tasly Pharmaceutical Marketing Group Co., Ltd. acquired 51% of the equity of Kangmeilai Pharmaceutical held by Shanxi Kangmeilai Industrial Co., Ltd., making it a controlled subsidiary of Tianjin Tasly Pharmaceutical Marketing Group Co., Ltd. In August 2020, Chongqing Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. acquired Tasly Marketing, promoting the layout of a nationwide network, and Kangmeilai officially became a part of the North China region of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Group. Chongqing Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned enterprise based on pharmaceutical business and coordinated pharmaceutical R&D, and is a controlled subsidiary of the A-share listed company Chongqing Pharmaceutical Holdings Co., Ltd. (stock code: 000950).
