Beijing Red Cross Emergency Rescue Center (999 Emergency Center), affiliated with the Beijing Red Cross Society, is a modern professional emergency center. The center consists of two major parts: the in-hospital treatment system and the out-of-hospital treatment system. It is a secondary medical institution, a non-profit collective ownership unit, and a designated medical insurance institution in Beijing. The center has over one thousand employees and 500 beds, with departments including neurosurgery, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, general surgery, cardiology, hyperbaric oxygen, and hemodialysis, and is equipped with advanced equipment such as MRI, spiral CT, CR, large-scale blood biochemistry analyzers, and color ultrasound. There are 130 pre-hospital ambulances and 68 first-aid stations distributed throughout Beijing's urban and suburban areas. Each ambulance is equipped with an advanced GPS satellite positioning system, 800 MHz digital trunking intercom system, and onboard communication devices. In August 2007, the center was designated by the Olympic Games as a designated unit. Taking this opportunity, it continues to grow and better provide emergency services to Beijing citizens, fully embodying the Red Cross spirit of humanity, fraternity, and dedication.
