Shenzhen Kexing Bioproducts Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of biomedical products, and is one of China's * modern bioengineering production enterprises. Founded in 1989, it was jointly invested and established by the Bioengineering Center of the State Science and Technology Commission, the Institute of Virology of the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, the Shanghai Institute of Biological Products of the Ministry of Health, and the Changchun Institute of Biological Products of the Ministry of Health, and realized large-scale industrialized production of the * genetically engineered drug independently developed by Chinese people and approved by the Ministry of Health of China — α1b interferon (Sai Ruojin). In May 1994, Peking University Weiming Group and the American company H&Q Asia Pacific jointly invested 120 million yuan in Kexing. After more than three years of arduous entrepreneurship, in 1997 the people of Kexing finally truly industrialized the achievement of α1b interferon.
