Liwan District People's Hospital of Guangzhou

Liwan District People's Hospital is a second-level first-class public comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, and teaching, as well as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, a "120" emergency station, and a designated medical institution for Guangzhou urban workers' basic medical insurance. The hospital was founded in 1950, with its main campus located at No. 3 Mingxin Road, Fangcun, Liwan District, and a second campus at No. 124 Hedong Road, Liwan District, Guangzhou, in the southwest of the city.
In 2023, the main campus will move to a new facility built to the scale of a tertiary hospital, featuring advanced equipment and a beautiful environment. The new campus enjoys a superior location, near Huadiwan Station on Metro Line 1.
Currently, the hospital is a second-level first-class comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, preventive healthcare, scientific research, and teaching, as well as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, a "120" emergency station, and a designated hospital for Guangzhou's medical, maternity, and work-related injury insurance. It undertakes government emergency medical rescue for various major public incidents, epidemic prevention and control, and rescue of critically ill patients. The hospital has strong technical strength and complete hardware facilities, with fully imported spiral CT, color Doppler ultrasound, automatic biochemical analyzers, and intelligent drug dispensing systems. It has 470 authorized beds, and its key specialties at the district level include critical care medicine, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, rehabilitation medicine, emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric hematology, diabetes, and nephrology. The hospital is currently a cooperative base for the "Cardiovascular Disease Early Warning Platform" (a major project of the Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission) and a cooperative base for pediatric hematology with Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.
