PKU Science Park

Founded in 1992, Peking University Science Park (PKU Science Park) is a university science park established by Peking University in response to the national strategies of “Rejuvenating the Country through Science and Education” and the “985 Project”, aiming to promote the industrialization of scientific research achievements of Peking University. It is one of the first batch of university science parks recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education of China. With the mission of “developing original science and technology and building high-quality parks”, PKU Science Park is committed to transforming universities' scientific and technological innovation resources into real productive forces, combining comprehensive intellectual resources with social advantageous resources, and providing support platforms and services for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, incubation of high-tech enterprises, cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents, and industrialization of high-tech development. Through continuous exploration and development, PKU Science Park has successively obtained multiple honors and qualifications, including Technology Business Incubator, Maker Space, AI-specialized Maker Space, University Science Park, “National 863 Program” Achievement Industrialization Base, one of Beijing's first Returnee Entrepreneurship Parks, Beijing Science and Technology Enterprise Incubation Base, Beijing High-tech Industry Professional Incubation Base, National High-tech Entrepreneurship Service Center, one of the first batch of University Student Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Internship Bases, Capital Science and Technology Condition Platform, one of Beijing's first Maker Spaces, and Maker Space, etc. It has received strong support from the government and all sectors of society, attracting high-end talents and industry elites from home and abroad, both within and outside the university, and forming PKU Science Park's unique core competitiveness in incubation and operation. As the main entity for the development, construction, and management of Peking University Science Park, PKU Science Park's business covers comprehensive services centered on the transformation and implementation of scientific and technological achievements; high-end industry-university-research operations centered on incubation investment; public service platform businesses centered on building an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem; and park operation and management centered on Peking University elements and brand image. Completed and under-construction parks include Peking University Chengfu Park, PKU Science Park South Zone, Beijing Shangdi Entrepreneurship Park, Tianjin Branch Park, Shijiazhuang Branch Park in Hebei, Baotou Branch Park in Inner Mongolia, Xi'an Branch Park in Shaanxi, Nanchang Branch Park in Jiangxi, Jinhua Branch Park in Zhejiang, Taizhou Branch Park in Zhejiang, Nanjing Branch Park in Jiangsu, Yangzhou Branch Park in Jiangsu, Yancheng Branch Park in Jiangsu, Guangzhou Branch Park in Guangdong, Chongqing Branch Park, Silicon Valley Branch Park in the USA, and Shenzhen Branch Park. PKU Science Park has developed into a base for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, incubation of science and technology enterprises, cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents, and high-tech industrialization for Peking University, and is an important part of Peking University's efforts to build a world-class university.
