Samsung Electronics China Research Institute was established in 2000. It is the first R&D institution with independent legal personality invested by Samsung Electronics in China, a high-tech software enterprise recognized by the state, with the qualification to operate a postdoctoral research workstation, and currently has nearly 800 R&D personnel. Since 2010, while strengthening the commercialization of R&D achievements, the institute has paid more attention to the research and development of future frontier key technologies. The institute attaches great importance to technical cooperation with famous domestic universities. At present, it has close cooperation with more than ten famous universities and research institutions such as Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and has successfully commercialized the cooperation results. Samsung Electronics China Research Institute aims at the research and development of key artificial intelligence technologies, including pattern recognition, multimedia processing, human-computer interaction, computer vision, etc.; and core next-generation wireless communication technologies, including wireless communication networks, chips, and terminal technologies.
