Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ping An China", "Ping An Insurance", "China Ping An Insurance Company", "Ping An Group") was born in Shekou, Shenzhen in 1988. It is China's first joint-stock insurance enterprise and has developed into a diversified integrated financial services group integrating financial insurance, banking, investment, medical and health services.[97] It is listed on both the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, with stock codes 02318 and 601318 respectively. In 2019, it ranked 7th in Forbes Global 2000, up 3 places from 2018. It has been ranked first among global diversified insurance companies*, 5th among many Chinese companies on the list, and 6th among global financial companies. In the "2019 BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands", Ping An China ranked 40th. In the "2019 Global Brand Value 500" list by Brand Finance, Ping An China's brand value ranked 14th globally.[57] In the "2019 Global Top 100 Most Valuable Insurance Brands (Brand Finance Insurance 100 2019)" ranking, Ping An China ranked first.
