Hunan Xiangjiang Paint Group Co., Ltd. is a large comprehensive enterprise group mainly engaged in the research and manufacture of coatings and resins, with diversified operations including metal packaging production and equipment manufacturing and installation. The company's predecessor was Hunan Paint Factory, and the Xiangjiang Paint enterprise LOGO was founded in 1950, making it one of the earliest coating enterprises established in China. The group's largest controlling subsidiary, Hunan (Xiangjiang) Kansai Automotive Coatings Co., Ltd., was established in February 1995 as a joint venture with Kansai Paint Co., Ltd. of Japan. It is the most comprehensive automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) coating supplier in China, providing services to nearly thirty well-known domestic automobile manufacturers including China FAW Group, Dongfeng Group, Changan Group, Chery Automobile, Geely Automobile, Qingling Motors, Jiangling Motors, Guangzhou/Wuhan Honda, China/Guangzhou Toyota, Soueast Motor, Shanghai GM, Shanghai Volkswagen, BAIC Foton, and Changfeng Motor, and possesses nearly 60 automotive primer, mid-coat, and topcoat painting lines. In early 2005, it acquired Zhengzhou Shuangta Coatings Co., Ltd. as a wholly-owned subsidiary, making the group one of the largest and most powerful enterprises in China's coating industry. The group has a complete coating research and development, production, logistics, sales, and quality assurance system, and has established provincial-level coating technology and quality inspection centers. Its advanced coating production lines are all imported from Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and other countries. In 2010, the company's annual coating production capacity reached 150,000 tons, with annual sales exceeding 2 billion yuan. Coating products cover 18 major categories of national standards, with more than 1,000 varieties and designs, widely used in automotive, machinery manufacturing, architectural decoration, and special coating fields.
