Shanghai Graman International Fire Fighting Equipment Co., Ltd. was established in March 1989, with its predecessor being Shanghai Fire Equipment Factory founded in 1918. It is now located at No. 3332 Shengang Road, Songjiang District, Shanghai, with a registered capital of 196 million yuan, covering an area of 49,700 square meters and a building area of 52,000 square meters. The company is a nationally designated enterprise for the research, development, production, and sales of special vehicles such as fire trucks, and is a backbone enterprise in China's fire truck industry. It has production qualifications for tank-structured, special-structured, and aerial-platform fire trucks (with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology auto product announcement catalog number (9)23).

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the company was nationalized and subsequently managed by the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Ministry of Public Security, and Shanghai Electric Group. In December 2012, Xuzhou Handler Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. (stock code 300201) acquired 100% of the company's equity through public listing transactions at the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange, making the company a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xuzhou Handler Special Vehicle Co., Ltd.

In the past five years, the company has been successively awarded the titles of "Shanghai High-tech Enterprise," "Shanghai Science and Technology Little Giant Enterprise," Shanghai "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" Enterprise, "Shanghai Famous Brand Product" Enterprise, "Shanghai Enterprise Technology Center," and one of the first batch of "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" Science and Technology Little Giant Enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has also received one National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, one PLA Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, and one each of the First/Second Prize of the Songjiang District Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2016, it passed the certification of the "Integration of Industrialization and Informatization Management System" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

With rapid development in recent years, the company has established advanced modern enterprise management systems and comprehensive management systems and organizational structures, including quality management system, management system, R&D system, marketing system, production operation system, human resources management system, financial management system, and environmental safety management system. It is equipped with more than 10 departments, including R&D Department, Marketing Company, Military Products Company, General Management Department, Finance Department, Quality Department, Procurement Department, Production Planning Department, Office, and Military/Civilian Production Workshops. The company has developed sound software and hardware infrastructure in enterprise management, scientific research and development, manufacturing, quality control, marketing, and services. It has achieved sound development in both civilian products represented by fire trucks and military products represented by NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) rescue and decontamination vehicles, establishing a good brand image in the domestic industry and maintaining a leading position in terms of technical level and market share.

The company currently has nearly 300 employees, of whom over 20% hold college degrees or above, and more than 50 R&D personnel, among whom over 20 hold intermediate or senior professional titles (including 1 researcher-level senior engineer and 2 experts enjoying government allowances). More than 10 people have received national, ministerial/provincial, or municipal/district-level science and technology progress awards.
