Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Benz) was established on August 8, 2005. It is a Sino-German joint venture jointly invested by Beijing Automotive Co., Ltd., Daimler AG, and Daimler Greater China Investment Co., Ltd., integrating research and development, engine and vehicle production, sales, and after-sales service.
Currently, Beijing Benz has established the world's largest and most comprehensive Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicle manufacturing base, possessing Daimler's largest Mercedes-Benz automobile engine manufacturing plant outside Germany, the largest R&D center among Daimler's joint ventures, and has become Daimler's only luxury automobile joint venture globally that simultaneously owns front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel-drive, and powertrain platforms.
Based on this, Beijing Benz has introduced four main Mercedes-Benz models that sell well globally: C-Class, E-Class, GLC SUV, and GLA SUV, comprehensively occupying the mainstream luxury car market segments of mid-to-high-end, executive, medium SUV, and compact SUV.
In addition, the three core engine components produced by Beijing Benz's engine plant - cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, and crankshafts - have been successfully exported back to Germany for assembly in Daimler's German engine plants, marking that Beijing Benz has been formally incorporated into Daimler's global procurement supply chain system, and its engine product quality has fully met Daimler's unified global standards.
Meanwhile, to ensure the highest interests of every user, Beijing Benz has also established Daimler's first overseas quality center and, in accordance with Daimler Germany's requirements, produces Mercedes-Benz vehicles under globally unified standards and quality management systems, ensuring that every new vehicle leaving Beijing Benz fully complies with Mercedes-Benz's unified global standards.
