[Summary] One of China's Top 500 Enterprises
Founded in 1998, Yonghui Group is a commercial retail enterprise primarily engaged in fresh agricultural products, supplemented by daily necessities, clothing, shoes, and hats. At present, the Group has a total investment of over 1 billion yuan, employs 15,000 staff (including over 3,000 re-employed laid-off workers), and operates 150 chain superstores of various formats, with a total chain operation area exceeding 400,000 square meters.
Yonghui Group is a large private joint-stock enterprise group cultivated by Fujian Province in the process of transforming traditional farmers' markets into modern circulation methods. In 2000, the Group actively responded to the call of the national, provincial, and municipal governments to 'eliminate table contamination, improve community life, and build trustworthy markets,' introducing fresh agricultural products into modern supermarkets. With its unique business model and accurate market positioning, it developed rapidly and gained wide recognition from the public. It is hailed as the 'People's Livelihood Supermarket, People's Yonghui' and is recognized by seven national ministries as the pioneer of China's 'agriculture-to-supermarket' reform. Its business model has been listed among the 'Top Ten Retail Innovation Cases in China.' In 2004, it was designated by the Ministry of Commerce as a 'National Key Large Circulation Enterprise.' In 2006, it achieved annual sales exceeding 4 billion yuan, paid approximately 70 million yuan in taxes, won the title of Fujian Province Famous Trademark, and ranked among the top 45 Chinese chain enterprises.
Currently, Yonghui Group has formed a large enterprise group with retail as the leading sector, modern logistics as support, food industry and modern agriculture as two wings, and industrial development as the foundation. It owns a modern food industrial park, has established a number of self-operated and cooperative fruit and vegetable production bases, and has built a vast remote procurement system nationwide, including the Shandong Fruit Procurement Center, Hainan Fruit and Vegetable Procurement Center, Guangdong Clothing Procurement Center, Zhejiang Daily Goods Procurement Center, Fujian Seafood Procurement Center, and Jiangxi Aquatic Products Procurement Center. The Group is also actively engaged in social welfare, establishing special public welfare funds (with cumulative donations exceeding 20 million yuan to society) for funding education, assisting disaster-affected areas, opening charity supermarkets, and helping the destitute and vulnerable groups.
Since entering Chongqing at the end of 2004, Yonghui Group has opened 94 new stores in Chongqing, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Shaanxi.
Yonghui Superstores successfully listed on the Shanghai A-share market on December 15, 2010, and will develop at a faster pace in Fujian, Chongqing, Beijing, Anhui, Henan, Sichuan, Guiyang, and Tianjin.
