In April 2013, the IGZO 8.5-generation ultra-high-resolution liquid crystal display project (Nanjing CEC Panda Flat Panel Display Technology Co., Ltd., hereinafter referred to as the G108 project), jointly invested by China Electronics, Nanjing, and Sharp Corporation of Japan, was put into construction. The project has a total investment of 29.15 billion yuan and a registered capital of 17.5 billion yuan. The project's construction scale is a monthly production capacity of 60,000 glass substrates (2200mm×2500mm), with products covering the full range of large-size panels for TVs and medium and small-size panels for mobile flat panel display carriers, greatly enhancing product competitiveness. As a partner, Sharp is currently the world's first manufacturer to achieve mass production of IGZO technology on the 8.5-generation line. The project adopts a direct shareholding approach by Sharp, fully integrating the advantages of Sharp and the Chinese side in technology, talent, and industry resources.
