China Architecture Design & Research Group (CAG) is a large-scale backbone technology-oriented central enterprise, affiliated to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Shanghai Zhongsen Architecture and Engineering Design Consulting Co., Ltd. was established in 2005, formerly known as the Shanghai Branch of the Architectural Design Institute under the construction authority, founded in 1993. Shanghai Zhongsen has passed the ISO9001 international quality system certification, and its main businesses include urban planning, architectural design, interior design and landscape design. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Architecture Design & Research Group (CAG) in East China, Shanghai Zhongsen fully leverages the Group's advantages in design and scientific research, human resources and technology, following the development strategy of "rooting in Shanghai, facing the Yangtze River Delta, and covering the East China region," and is committed to making achievements in residential area planning and design, commercial real estate design and large-scale public buildings. At present, Shanghai Zhongsen has set up more than ten departments, including the Business Planning Department, Technical Quality Management Department, Architectural Creation Department, Architectural Design Department, Structural Design Department, Mechanical and Electrical Design Department, Interior Design Department, Residential Business Division, General Office, and Finance Department. Currently, there are over 300 permanent staff, including national first-class registered architects, first-class registered structural engineers, and registered equipment engineers.
After years of efforts, Shanghai Zhongsen of China Architecture Design & Research Group has formed a certain brand reputation in the East China market. In recent years, in terms of residential design, the institute has the capabilities of standard product research and development, unit type innovation, and industrialized housing (PC) design, and has formed strong overall project design and management capabilities for the entire process in response to real estate development processes.
