Oriental Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") was established in 1996, registered in Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone, with its headquarters in the ancient capital Nanjing. After years of development, it has now become the 224th largest enterprise in China (as of 2020).
Since its listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2008 (SZ.002221), the Company has kept pace with the global trends in the basic chemical industry, focusing on building an integrated "industry-academia-research" platform and striving to create a full industry chain advantage spanning "from light hydrocarbon resources and basic chemical raw materials to high-polymer new material products." Currently, leveraging its three major industrial bases in Ningbo, Zhangjiagang, and Maoming, as well as renowned domestic and international research institutions, the Company has successfully transformed into a "high-polymer material manufacturer based on green chemistry, supported by international R&D, and oriented towards the new materials industry." The Company, utilizing its Juliangtang e-commerce platform, employs the "plastics + digitalization" model to enable online transactions, online payments, and online logistics, improving transaction efficiency and providing full-process cargo tracking services. This platform has also become a highly influential industrial internet platform in the plastics and chemical industry. The Company has strengthened its R&D platform construction and attaches great importance to scientific research and technological development and innovation. In 2018, it established the Oriental Energy Research Institute and built the Oriental Energy Composite Materials Laboratory. Existing R&D equipment includes over 140 units such as high-temperature gel permeation chromatographs, infrared analyzers, gas-liquid chromatographs, X-ray spectrometers, and capillary rheometers, and a 3,000-square-meter laboratory for analytical testing has been built. The Company has successfully developed various product grades, including specialized materials for high-melt-flow fiber, thin-wall injection molding, random transparent polypropylene, and low-melt-impact copolymer polypropylene, basically achieving comprehensive coverage of mainstream polypropylene product grades.

Oriental Energy has three major industrial bases: Ningbo Base, Zhangjiagang Base, and Maoming Base, focusing on the production of polypropylene new materials and hydrogen energy.
Zhangjiagang Base:
1 set of 600,000-ton propane dehydrogenation unit, 1 set of 400,000-ton polypropylene unit.
Ningbo Base
Phase I project: 1 set of 600,000-ton propane dehydrogenation unit, 1 set of 400,000-ton polypropylene unit.
Phase II project: 1 set of 600,000-ton propane dehydrogenation unit;
Phase III project: 2 sets of 400,000-ton polypropylene units;
Phase IV project: 1 set of 600,000-ton propane dehydrogenation unit, 1 set of 400,000-ton polypropylene unit.
Maoming Base:

Phase I (I): includes 1 set of 600,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation unit and 1 set of 400,000-ton/year polypropylene unit;
Phase I (II): includes 1 set of 600,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation unit, 2 sets of 400,000-ton/year polypropylene units, and supporting utilities and auxiliary facilities.

Development History

2020: The comprehensive utilization project of alkane resources of Oriental Energy (Maoming) (Phase I) entered the formal construction stage.
2019: Oriental Energy (Maoming) Co., Ltd. was registered and established.
2018: Construction of the Ningbo Phase II PDH project commenced, and Qinzhou Port was acquired.
2016: The Ningbo Phase I PDH project was put into operation.
2015: The Zhangjiagang Phase I PDH project was put into operation.
2013: LPG business volume reached 1.6 million tons.
2012: Investment in PDH projects, with a total PDH capacity of 1.2 million tons in Zhangjiagang and Ningbo.
2009: Acquired two major LPG storage facilities of BP in East China, becoming the largest LPG storage and transportation operator in China.
2008: Listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
1996: Company establishment.
