Bang Ni Xue

Founded in 1957, East China Normal University Press is one of the first two university presses established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is also one of the top 100 book publishing units in the country, one of the first national demonstration units for digital publishing transformation, and a national demonstration unit for copyright. In the past three years, it has been awarded the "Advanced Publishing Unit Award of the 4th China Publishing Government Award", "Shanghai Top Ten Cultural Enterprises", and "Shanghai Intellectual Property Innovation Award (Protection)", among other honors.
The Press features "big education" publishing, with its publications mainly consisting of textbooks and teaching aids, academic works, and social reading materials. It has developed a comprehensive publishing pattern covering printed books, electronic audio-visual publishing, and digital network publishing. In 2020, the Press published 5,064 titles (908 new books, 208 reprints, and 3,948 reissues), with educational books accounting for over 70%, and the reprint and reissue rate consistently exceeding 70%. Multiple books, including "The History of Chinese Character Development", have won major book awards such as the China Publishing Government Award. The copyright of the Press's "One Lesson, One Exercise • Mathematics" has been exported to the UK, with wide influence.
Relying on the disciplinary advantages of East China Normal University, the Press uses the "Key Laboratory of Integrated Publishing Development (East China Normal University Press)" and the "Pedagogy Publishing Center" of the Shanghai Academic and Professional Publishing Center as platforms, committed to integrated publishing development and building an educational publishing ecosystem.
