Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") is an offshore engineering enterprise that integrates design, construction, and commissioning, capable of undertaking total package construction of high-end offshore engineering equipment and other special-purpose vessels. It boasts an international professional management team with over 40 years of experience in offshore engineering construction. Currently, it has three construction bases in Yantai, Haiyang, and Longkou, covering a total area of approximately 2,000 mu. As an important strategic measure for CIMC Group to strengthen its offshore engineering development, the CIMC Offshore Engineering Research Institute was officially launched in July 2013 in Yantai High-tech Zone, forming an industrial layout of "one center, three bases" for CIMC Group's offshore engineering sector on the Shandong Peninsula.
As one of the first enterprises in China to enter the offshore engineering industry, the Company's main business includes the design and construction of semi-submersible platforms, jack-up platforms, floating production storage and offloading vessels, crane vessels, pipe-laying vessels, and other special-purpose vessels. Its products cover most offshore engineering products, and it is among the first in China to possess the capability of batch and industrialized construction of high-end offshore products. Utilizing its advanced offshore engineering construction facilities, the Company has pioneered a series of innovative construction processes, including modular land construction, large barge launching, 20,000-ton crane dock assembly, and underwater installation of thrusters at an 18-meter-deep water terminal. At present, the Company has become one of the few offshore engineering enterprises in China with product lines covering semi-submersible platforms, jack-up platforms, and special offshore vessels. In terms of construction scale, it is one of the largest offshore engineering manufacturing bases in China, and it has successfully delivered 8 semi-submersible platforms, 8 jack-up platforms, and multiple special-purpose vessels.
The CIMC Offshore Engineering Research Institute is the location of CIMC Raffles' technology research and development, serving as a high-end offshore product industrialization, specialization, and internationalization R&D and design platform. It has been awarded the "National Energy Offshore Oil Drilling Platform R&D (Experimental) Center" by the National Energy Administration and currently has over 800 R&D personnel. The institute has introduced 3D product design software, three-dimensional design software CATIA, mechanical analysis software ABAQUS, platform stability analysis software NAPA, and hydrodynamic analysis software SESAM, and possesses the capabilities of basic design, detailed design, and construction design for semi-submersible drilling platforms and jack-up drilling platforms.
