Northeast Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Northeast Pharma") is a listed company under Liaoning Fangda Group Industrial Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Fangda Group"). The company, formerly known as Northeast Pharmaceutical General Factory, was founded in 1946. It was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1996 with stock code 000597.
Northeast Pharma once assisted in the construction of 52 pharmaceutical enterprises across 19 provinces and cities nationwide, sending out more than 1,300 cadres, and is hailed as the cradle of China's national pharmaceutical industry. It is an important base for drug production and export in China, one of the largest single-formulation production bases in the country, a production base for narcotic and psychotropic drugs and anti-AIDS medications, a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory for bulk APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates, and boasts a national-level enterprise technology center and an innovative drug incubation base.
The company operates major business segments including chemical APIs, chemical preparations, pharmaceutical commerce, pharmaceutical engineering, and biomedicine, covering the entire industrial chain from R&D, manufacturing to distribution, with over 6,000 employees. It has two major production bases: the formulation production base covering 180,000 square meters with over 30 production lines and an annual capacity of 13.3 billion units (tablets, injections, pills, granules, pieces, and bottles). The API production base covers 910,000 square meters with an annual output of over 30,000 tons, serving as a national intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory for bulk APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates. Major API products include Vitamin C and its series, L-carnitine series, Fosfomycin series, Piracetam, Carboprost methylate, Amantadine hydrochloride, Sucralfate, Berberine, Chloramphenicol, etc., and the company fully extends to the downstream formulation industry chain, forming a comprehensive competitive advantage that is hard to replicate.
Northeast Pharma mainly manufactures ten series of refined products including vitamin series drugs, anti-infective system drugs, obstetrics and gynecology system drugs, digestive system drugs, urinary system drugs, antiviral series drugs, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular series drugs, analgesic and antitussive series drugs, biodiagnostic series, and comprehensive health series, with over 400 chemical APIs, pharmaceutical intermediates, and formulation products. It owns two China Well-Known Trademarks, "Northeast" and "Fumeixin," along with several famous trademarks, and its leading products are exported to over 100 countries and regions.
