Beijing Huasu Pharmaceutical Joint-stock Co., Ltd., formerly known as the experimental pharmaceutical factory affiliated with the Institute of Toxicology and Pharmacology of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, i.e., Beijing Sihuan Pharmaceutical Factory. In early 1999, it was officially transferred to Beijing Municipality and placed under the leadership of the Municipal Economic Commission as a separately listed enterprise. In March 2000, it was incorporated into Beijing Zhongguancun Science and Technology Development (Holdings) Co., Ltd. as a wholly-owned subsidiary. On June 28, 2000, Beijing Sihuan Pharmaceutical Factory, together with five other enterprises, jointly initiated the establishment of Beijing Huasu Pharmaceutical Joint-stock Co., Ltd. The company has comprehensive cooperation with the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in the field of R&D, relying on its strong research and development capabilities, and is mainly committed to the research and production of drugs for analgesia, neurology (emergency), and cardiovascular diseases. In March 2002, the company established its own R&D institution. Currently, the company produces 13 varieties in three dosage forms: tablets, injections, and external preparations, including 2 national Class I new drugs, 4 Class II new drugs, and 5 Class IV new drugs. Since 1996, the company has established a modern chemical synthesis and preparation production base in Liangxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 110 mu. The company has been rated as a national advanced enterprise for quality and efficiency, an advanced unit in the national health industry, and a demonstration unit for the promotion of scientific and technological achievements by national enterprises. Since its establishment in 1989, it has ranked among the top 20 enterprises in the Beijing High-tech Industrial Development Zone 9 times, and has been rated as a "contract-abiding and credit-worthy" enterprise in Beijing for 11 consecutive years.
