Karry Automobile (i.e., Chery Automobile Henan Co., Ltd.) was established in 2009 as one of Chery Automobile's key strategic investment projects. The company was registered in Kaifeng, Henan in March 2010, with an initial investment of 2.3 billion yuan for the first phase, covering an area of 1,142 mu. It primarily produces and sells mini passenger vans, mini trucks, pickup trucks, and medium and light trucks. The company has four major production workshops covering the entire process of stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly. The project construction fully utilizes high-quality equipment, selecting advanced domestic closed four-point presses, imported German KUKA robot welding equipment with vehicle model recognition systems, and painting processes featuring ion automatic dust removal and robot automatic electrostatic spraying. Emphasizing technological progress, it has built advanced production lines of the same quality as passenger car lines. Currently, it has preliminarily achieved an annual production capacity of 100,000 mini vehicles and 20,000 trucks.

On May 28, 2012, the first Karry truck – the Karry Green Card – officially rolled off the production line, marking Karry Automobile's official entry into the truck market. The Karry Green Card has two major product series, L11 and L12, with product planning covering general-purpose and special-purpose products to meet diverse market demands for high-, medium-, and low-end trucks. Relying on the company's mature R&D system and technical resources, and the concept of globally synchronized commercial vehicle development, the vehicle design meets relevant domestic and international safety regulations. Major assemblies and components adopt standardized, universal, and serialized designs, and are equipped with a newly lightweight-designed Cummins ISF2.8 diesel engine, a ZF transmission with aluminum alloy housing, and a domestic light truck pioneering ABS+EBD+four-wheel disc brake system, as well as European technology intake and exhaust systems, effectively reducing fuel consumption and noise, with emission standards meeting the International VI standard. The entire vehicle adopts car-standard manufacturing processes of stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly, first-class testing equipment, and strict DTS assembly standards, making the Karry Green Card a true urban-specific transport platform.
