杭州前进专修学校由农工民主党浙江省委会举办，创建于1980年，是杭州同类院校办学*早的老校之一，是浙江省首批具有高教自考助学资质的学校。学院办学30余年来，为社会培养输送各类应用型人才4万余人。学院以学生为本，诚信办学，管理规范，校园平安，多次被农工民主党中央表彰为“社会力量办学全国先进学校”，荣获2007年杭州市“优秀民办学校”，2008年“浙江省优质民办学院”，2009年2月、2010年3月、2011年3月、2012年3月、2013年3月连续五年通过上级部门的综合评估，以高分被评为省自考全日制助学合格学校。
