Guangzhou Donghua Vocational College

Founded in February 2011, Guangzhou Donghua Vocational College is a full-time general institution of higher education approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, filed with the Ministry of Education, and supervised by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province. It is one of the top 100 private colleges in China. Located in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, at the core of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the college is adjacent to Guangzhou Science City and Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, close to emerging urban industrial clusters, enjoying obvious geographical advantages and convenient transportation. Covering an area of 758 mu, the campus boasts a beautiful environment, complete infrastructure, and excellent teaching conditions. Actively adapting to the development needs of new quality productive forces, the college has gradually formed a distinctive higher vocational college featuring 'emergency rescue technology' elements and integrating 'education and training, science popularization, and social volunteer services'. It offers 38 majors in categories including information technology, equipment manufacturing, medicine and health, architecture and creative design, finance, economics, trade, education, and public management. It has two provincial-level high-level professional groups under construction: 'Intelligent Control Technology' and 'Marketing', with over 13,300 full-time students. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, centering on students' comprehensive development, and oriented towards high-quality employment and entrepreneurship, the college continuously improves the mechanism of cultivating both morality and skills, deepens the educational and teaching reform integrating post courses, competitions, and certificates, and promotes the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation. Through various forms such as building training bases with enterprises, carrying out joint projects, and inviting industry experts to give lectures, students are exposed to the latest industry trends and technological applications while learning theoretical knowledge, stimulating their innovative thinking and practical abilities, truly achieving 'integration of work and learning, unity of knowledge and action', and striving to cultivate high-caliber technical and skilled talents. In recent years, the average employment rate of graduates has exceeded 96%, and successful entrepreneurship and innovation incubation cases have repeatedly hit new highs. Students have frequently achieved good results in various competitions, winning 92 awards at or above the provincial level, including 19 national awards and 29 first prizes at or above the provincial level. One student was selected as a model of learning from Lei Feng in Guangdong Province in the tenth batch (the only one among higher vocational colleges in the province). In recent years, the college has established school-enterprise cooperative relationships with Fortune Global 500 companies such as Sinopec Group, Agricultural Bank of China Limited, Midea Group Co., Ltd., JD.com Group Co., Ltd., Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd., and well-known domestic enterprises such as Gree Electric Appliances, GAC Group, Guangzhou Metro Group, Shenzhen Metro Group, BYD Company Limited, as well as Guangdong Marketing Association, Radio and Television Urban Service Group, Zhongke Yatu, etc. It has trained and delivered nearly 30,000 high-caliber technical and skilled talents for South China and even the whole country, receiving positive feedback.
