Jiangxi Chuanqi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise and a Jiangxi Province "specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative" small and medium-sized enterprise integrating the research and development, production, and sales of pharmaceuticals, health foods, and organic selenium.
The company has always adhered to the principle that "science and technology are productive forces," and attaches great importance to technological innovation as well as the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. Since 2003, the company has successively cooperated with Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine, Nanchang University, Jiangxi Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and other universities and research institutions, independently developing key synthesis technology for high-purity L-selenomethylselenocysteine (L-SeMC). In 2008, it applied for a new variety of novel food additive and received approval from the former Ministry of Health, breaking foreign technological monopolies, filling a domestic gap, and promoting the industrialization and application of L-SeMC in China. In the process of L-SeMC research and development and industrialized application, the company has successively undertaken projects including the Ministry of Science and Technology's Technology-based SME Technological Innovation Fund Project, the National Torch Program Innovative Industrial Cluster Major Project, international cooperation projects, and Jiangxi Province's "open competition" enterprise major demand projects, participated in the formulation of national standards (GB 1903.12-2015); was granted 5 authorized invention patents; recognized 4 Jiangxi Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievements; won 1 Second Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 Third Prize of Nanchang Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award; with in-depth research on L-SeMC as one of its research and development directions, was recognized with 1 Jiangxi Provincial Enterprise Technology Center and 1 Nanchang Municipal Enterprise Technology Center; developed 2 registered health foods and 9 filed health foods using L-SeMC as a raw material, and recognized 1 Jiangxi Famous Brand Product and 2 "Gan Chu Jing Pin" products.
As a third-generation selenium, L-SeMC has the following advantages: 1. Good water solubility, facilitating application in the food industry; 2. Clear chemical structure and fixed selenium content (selenium content 43.37%), facilitating quantitative supplementation; 3. Small-molecule amino acid selenium, easily absorbed, with higher biological activity and bioavailability; 4. Special metabolic pathway, no accumulation in the body at high intake levels, and higher safety.
