天津建华医院始建于1988年，是二级精神专科医院，是天津市重性精神疾病管理项目的技术指导单位，也是天津市*批医保定点医院。医院目前床位数100张。拥有包括精神病学、内科学、神经病学、老年医学等专业在内的中高级专业技术人员40余人。2014年，医院门诊量近2万人次，总住院34万病床日。医院设立有普通精神科、康复科、老年精神科等临床科室，除提供常规的精神医学服务外，还提供心理治疗与心理咨询服务、社区精神医学服务。同时配置有心理测查、脑电地形图、B超、心电图、检验和放射等技术科室，设备先进，技术精良。天津建华医院自建院开始就本着“为患者尽心尽力，为员工搭建平台，为社会排忧解难”的办院方针。也为年轻入职者创造发展的条件，营造公平竞争的环境，已有多名年轻医师成为医院的中坚力量。
