In order to accelerate the construction of the "eastward expansion" strategic fulcrum of East Lake High-tech Zone, fully open up new space for the development of the Optics Valley industry, and implement the construction of the large industrial base in the Zuoling area, after research by the Management Committee of East Lake High-tech Zone, it was decided to officially launch the Zuoling New Town project construction in early 2011, and promote the project construction according to the model of "government-led, market-operated, designated areas, closed operation, allocated resources, and self-balancing." Against this background, Wuhan Zuoling New Town Development Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zuokaitou Company) was established. The company has a registered capital of 500 million yuan and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wuhan Gaoke State-owned Holding Group Co., Ltd. It is mainly responsible for the acquisition of state-owned land, requisition of collective land, construction of resettlement housing for farmers, and other land reserve and consolidation work in the 24.1-square-kilometer area of Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Park (Zuoling New Town), and serves as the investment, construction, and operation entity for the park's infrastructure and public facilities, enjoying corresponding investment rights, operating rights, and income rights; at the same time, the company also obtains income through various methods such as financing, agent construction, investment promotion, and secondary development.
Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park (Zuoling New Town) is located in the northeast corner of East Lake High-tech Zone, with a planned area of 24.1 square kilometers. As a new node supporting industry in eastern Wuhan, the park has a three-dimensional transportation network integrating water transport, railway, and highway. It will focus on building * an intelligent manufacturing equipment industrial base, build the world's * largest small and medium-sized panel display industrial base, build * large data and cloud computing industrial bases and logistics industrial bases, and with the goal of "livable and workable, co-prosperity of people and city," create a "world-renowned, domestic first-class high-tech industrial park and a demonstration zone for national new town construction."
