Chongqing Wansheng Float Glass Co., Ltd. (CHONGQING WANSHENG FLOAT GLASS CO.,LTD), established on April 1, 2009, is a Sino-foreign joint venture located in the Construction Group of Chongqing Wansheng Industrial Park. It is a 2009 Chongqing key industrial project hosted and constructed by Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as Fuyao Group, which is the largest domestic automotive glass production supplier in terms of scale, technical level, and export volume, and the first listed company in the same industry in China, with the stock abbreviation: Fuyao Glass, stock code: 600660). The company has a registered capital of 150 million yuan (RMB), and its business scope covers the production, sales, and research and development of high-quality float glass and glass deep-processing products.
The company's overall plan is to build 2 high-quality float glass production lines in Wansheng District, Chongqing. The first phase of the project involves building a high-quality float glass production line with a daily melting capacity of 600 tons, with an annual glass output of 180,000 tons, which was completed and put into operation in May 2011; the second phase of the project involves building an ultra-thin float glass production line with a daily melting capacity of 450 tons, which is currently in the equipment installation stage and is expected to be put into operation in March 2012. At present, there is not yet a single high-quality float glass production line in the Chongqing area. The high-quality float glass produced by this project is the raw material for automotive windshields and high-quality building materials glass, and its products will be integrated into the Fuyao Group's integrated marketing network. Fuyao Group has 2 automotive glass processing plants in Chongqing, responsible for the automotive glass supply for the entire western region of the group. Fuyao Group also has an automotive glass plant in Jingmen City, Hubei Province, in the central region. These three automotive glass plants can consume 100,000 tons of high-quality float glass raw sheets annually and maintain an annual growth of about 15%. After the completion of Chongqing Wansheng Float Glass Co., Ltd., it can form an annual output of 180,000 tons of high-quality float glass raw sheets, solving the supply problem of high-quality glass raw sheets for the 2 automotive glass plants in Chongqing and the glass plant in Jingmen locally, forming a relatively complete industrial chain.
