Canao New Energy

Shanghai Canao New Energy Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture, with its controlling shareholder being the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) and its technology sourced from ENAX (Japan). The company specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of power lithium-ion batteries. Its technical route is ternary lithium-ion soft-pack batteries, providing products such as ternary soft-pack lithium-ion batteries, battery cells, battery modules, battery pack systems, and battery pack integration technologies. Equipment sources: Phase I (imported from Japan), Phase II (domestic fully automated). The existing industrial park covers an area of 50 mu, with a plant area of 10,000 square meters; the workforce is around 400 people. As of 2017, the planned investment is RMB 1 billion; its production capacity reached 200 MWh in 2015, 600 MWh in 2016, and 1,000 MWh in 2017. Notes: 1.
