Jiangsu Automation Research Institute (No. 716 Research Institute), affiliated with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, is a national key scientific research unit. It is mainly engaged in the research, development, and production of military and civilian electronic information systems, control systems, simulation and test systems, ruggedized computers, automatic control components, embedded products, and software, with over 2,200 employees.
