Hong Kong Wang On Group Limited (Stock Code: HK1222) was founded in 1987 by Mr. Tang Ching Ho, the Chairman of the Group, and was listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 1995. It has diversified businesses and owns four listed companies: Wang On Group, Wai Yuen Tong Medicine Holdings (Stock Code: HK0897), PNG Resources Holdings (Stock Code: HK0221) and China Agri-Products Exchange (Stock Code: HK0149), operating investment holding and real estate (residential, commercial, complex, agricultural wholesale markets, street markets), internationally recognized Hong Kong "Super Brand" pharmaceutical, resource development and agricultural products wholesale market businesses. The four companies have total assets exceeding HK$10 billion and employ over 2,000 people. After 25 years of development, the Group now invests in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore and other Asian regions. The Group believes that China has great potential and is prepared to actively expand its business in the Mainland.
From 2005 to 2010, during China's "Eleventh Five-Year" period, Wang On Group began to participate in building a nationwide wholesale market network system. It successively operated comprehensive agricultural and sideline products wholesale markets in twelve cities: Wuhan, Yulin, Xuzhou, Dongguan, Changzhou, Hong Kong, Qinzhou, Huai'an, Pingxiang, Chenzhou, Kaifeng and Luoyang, through wholly-owned, controlling or equity participation. In 2009, the Group injected its business into China Agri-Products Exchange Limited, forming a giant modern agricultural and sideline products logistics center network, with locations planned in Wuhan, Central China, running through South China and Northeast China, and spanning East China and the Great Southwest. Summarizing six years of operating results, Wang On Group has become one of China's major agricultural wholesale management enterprises.
