Unlike many social security service providers that adopt a "mutual agency" subcontracting model, 51 Social Security adopts a direct operation service model. In August 2014, 51 Social Security received angel investment from Jiuhe Ventures / Plum Angel Ventures.
In March 2015, it completed a Series A financing of $4 million led by China Broadband Capital, with Yongxuan Capital and Jiuhe Ventures participating.
In May 2016, it completed a Series B financing of $10 million led by Zhubajie, with China Broadband Capital participating.

In May 2017, it completed a Series C financing of RMB 100 million led by Zhaopin.
