广东南粤银行股份有限公司成立于1998年1月，前身是由六家城市信用社组建而成的湛江市商业银行。2011年9月，经中国银监会批准，更名为“广东南粤银行股份有限公司”，简称“广东南粤银行，”标志着从地方性城商行成功转型为区域性商业银行。
广东南粤银行现已成功开设广州分行、深圳分行、重庆分行、长沙分行、佛山分行、东莞分行、肇庆分行、江门分行、惠州分行、揭阳分行、云浮分行、珠海分行等十几家分行机构。
广东南粤银行深圳分行于2010年3月成立，目前有营业网点十家，分布在深圳市南山区、福田区、罗湖区、龙岗区、宝安区、龙华新区。现有员工约230人，资产规模近180个亿。经过八年多运作，深圳分行各项业务蓬勃发展，具备良好的市场口碑和品牌影响力。
