CTBC Financial Holding Co., Ltd. (referred to as CTBC Financial Holding), originating from the Taiwan region of China, is a prestigious financial institution. Established in May 2002, its headquarters are located in Taipei City, China, with approximately 30,000 employees globally. Its subsidiaries include CTBC Bank Co., Ltd., Taiwan Life Insurance Co., Ltd., CTBC Comprehensive Securities Co., Ltd., CTBC Venture Capital Co., Ltd., CTBC Asset Management Co., Ltd., CTBC Securities Investment Trust Co., Ltd., CTBC Security Co., Ltd., and Taiwan Lottery Co., Ltd., totaling eight subsidiaries.

To provide clients with global and more convenient financial services, CTBC Bank, a subsidiary of CTBC Financial Holding, acquired The Tokyo Star Bank, Ltd. in Japan in 2014, marking the first acquisition of a Japanese bank by a foreign bank. In July 2017, it completed the equity transfer of LH Financial Group Public Company Limited in Thailand, setting a record as the first Taiwanese bank to acquire shares in a Thai financial institution. In October 2018, it established the cross-strait joint venture Xiamen Jinmeixin Consumer Finance Co., Ltd., offering personal consumer credit services in the mainland market. CTBC Bank is a subsidiary of Taiwan's CTBC Financial Holding. In 2022, CTBC Bank's total assets reached RMB 1.26 trillion, with a net profit after tax of RMB 8.4 billion, achieving outstanding results. CTBC has 152 branches in the Taiwan region and a total of 222 branches and offices in countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia, making it one of the most internationalized regional banks in Asia. CTBC maintains robust capital and has received stable ratings from multiple domestic and international credit rating agencies over the long term.

CTBC Bank currently has four branches in the mainland of China: Shanghai Branch (with Changning Sub-branch and Hongqiao Sub-branch under it), Guangzhou Branch, Xiamen Branch, and Shenzhen Branch. Among them, the Shanghai Branch was established in March 2012; the Guangzhou Branch in August 2015; the Xiamen Branch in June 2016; and the Shenzhen Branch in February 2019. Currently, these four mainland branches are operating stably and efficiently. The company is actively planning to establish more branches in the mainland, intensifying its presence and accelerating business development in the region.
