Guangzhou Shipyard Co., Ltd. is a directly affiliated enterprise of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), a central enterprise, and is one of the shipbuilding enterprises with a long history in China, with its history dating back more than 50 years (1954) to the Guangzhou Shipyard. In 1993, the Guangzhou Shipyard was restructured and listed, establishing Guangzhou Guangchuan International Co., Ltd., while retaining the Guangzhou Shipyard through structural reorganization. To adapt to economic development, with the approval of CSSC, the Guangzhou Shipyard was successfully restructured into Guangzhou Shipyard Co., Ltd. on May 18, 2007.
Guangzhou Shipyard Co., Ltd. is located in the rapidly developing Pearl River Estuary area. It currently has 9 first-level production service and functional departments (including 5 wholly-owned subsidiaries and public institution legal entities), of which 4 are functional departments, including the company's General Management Department, Party and Mass Work Department, Finance Department, and Discipline Inspection, Supervision and Audit Department, and 5 are service departments, including Guangzhou Shipyard Kindergarten, Catering Service Department, Dormitory Management Area, Environmental Protection Engineering Department, and Commerce and Trade Department. The wholly-owned subsidiaries and public institution legal entities include Guangzhou Guangchuan Human Resources Service Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Bohang Environmental Monitoring Service Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Shipyard Technical School, Guangzhou Guangchuan Nursing Home Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Shipyard Staff Hospital. Currently, the company has about 1,250 employees. At present, the company's main business is modern service business, mainly including human resources dispatch, industrial health and injury rescue, elderly care, technical education and training, childcare, property management, environmental greening, cleaning and sanitation, and catering services. Guangzhou Shipyard Hospital has obtained the qualification certificate of occupational health examination institution in Guangdong Province; Guangzhou Shipyard Technical School has become a teaching point of the training center of Guangzhou Radio and Television University for Guangzhou Shipyard Co., Ltd.; and the nursing home and kindergarten have established high-quality brands and popularity in the industry.
