Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard

CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is a large shipbuilding enterprise under China State Shipbuilding Corporation, formed by the merger of the former Guangzhou CSSC Huangpu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Co., Ltd. It is a major construction base for naval ships, special engineering vessels, and marine engineering in South China, and is currently the strongest production base for dredging engineering vessels and feeder container ships in China. The company has three production areas. Among them, the Changzhou area is located on Changzhou Island in the southeast of Guangzhou, adjacent to Guangzhou University City and the world-renowned Huangpu Military Academy, covering an area of nearly 700,000 square meters, with a shoreline of 3,000 meters and a wharf of 900 meters, capable of building ships of up to 30,000 tons. Its main products include naval ships, various official vessels, marine rescue ships, and platform supply vessels. The Wenchong area is located in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, adjacent to Huangpu Port, covering an area of 700,000 square meters, with a wharf shoreline of over 1,500 meters. It has a 25,000-ton slipway, and one 25,000-ton, one 70,000-ton, and one 150,000-ton dry dock, with the capacity to build feeder container ships of up to 5,600 TEU and ships of up to 70,000 tons, as well as the ability to manufacture and install various large metal structural components and complete electromechanical equipment. Its main products include 1,700 TEU shallow-draft container ships, 2,200 TEU container ships, 2,500 TEU container ships, and various models of medium and large dredgers. The Longxue area is located on Longxue Island, Nansha District, Guangzhou, near Hong Kong and Macau. It is equipped with a 100,000-ton dry dock, 600-ton and 900-ton gantry cranes, and marine platform production lines, with the capacity to build ships of up to 100,000 tons and marine engineering structures. Its main products include various bulk carriers of 76,000 tons, 65,000 tons, and 57,000 tons, as well as 50,000-ton semi-submersible vessels, 3,000-meter deep-water engineering survey vessels, 3,000-meter underwater engineering support vessels, pipe-laying vessels, and other marine engineering vessels.
