China Machinery Industry Second Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as CMEC Second Construction), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Machinery Industry Construction Group Co., Ltd. The company holds a Grade I general contracting qualification for mechanical and electrical installation and housing construction approved by the national industry authorities, Grade II general contracting qualifications for municipal public utilities, metallurgy, and petrochemical construction, Grade I specialized contracting qualifications for steel structures and lifting equipment installation, as well as foreign trade operation and overseas engineering contracting qualifications.
Since its establishment fifty years ago, the company has successively undertaken hundreds of large and medium-sized key engineering projects, serving fields including machinery, electronics, automobiles, metallurgy, building materials, petroleum, chemicals, electric power, light industry, pharmaceuticals, municipal engineering, ports and ships, and civil construction. Its project achievements span across the country, mainly distributed in Hubei, Shandong, Henan, Guangxi, Hebei, Sichuan, Guangdong, and other places. While based on domestic construction, it has also continuously participated in international competition, having undertaken in more than ten countries and regions across Asia, Europe, America, and Africa the dismantling of second-hand equipment and installation of various complete equipment sets, as well as the fabrication and installation of large steel structures, and the construction of sugar factories and power plants, contributing to the "Belt and Road" initiative with the responsibility of a state-owned enterprise.
The company has successively won multiple honorary titles including the National Construction Engineering Luban Prize, Advanced Unit in Special Equipment Management, First Prize for Scientific and Technological Achievements of China Installation Association, Installation Star of China Installation Association, National Excellent Construction Enterprise, National Contract-abiding and Credit-worthy Enterprise, and Wuhan Harmonious Enterprise.
