I. Group Overview
Winning International Group is a comprehensive group company integrating ship ownership, ocean transportation, ship management, mining development, and railway construction and operation. Headquartered in Singapore, it serves clients worldwide through branch offices in Beijing, Qingdao, Indonesia, Malaysia, Guinea, and other locations.
The main business of the group can be summarized into three major segments: ocean transportation, mining development, and railway transportation.
1. Ocean Transportation
In shipping business, Winning is committed to expanding its global operations and has become a leading shipping enterprise in the global bauxite industry.
The shipping routes cover Africa, Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and Australia, providing reliable, low-cost, and flexible ocean transportation services for producers, traders, importers, and end users of bulk raw materials such as bauxite, nickel ore, and iron ore. The company owns nearly 100 ocean-going vessels of various types, with more than 50% being self-owned ships. It has 37 Very Large Ore Carriers (Capesize) of 180,000 to 210,000 tons, with a total deadweight tonnage of approximately 6.5 million tons.
Ship management focuses on nautical management, technical management, and crew management, providing comprehensive shore-based support and technical assurance for vessels. The management personnel are composed of excellent professionals who have served as chief engineers and captains on ocean-going vessels for many years, possessing rich ship knowledge and ship management experience.
Offshore logistics: The company has an offshore transshipment and lightering system composed of nearly 100 barges, offshore tugs, port auxiliary tugs, bunker vessels, and floating dry docks, as well as excellent crew and technical personnel from around the world. Their efforts make Winning's offshore logistics services highly competitive in the industry.
2. Mining Development
In 2014, with forward-looking strategic vision, Winning International Group joined forces with Weiqiao Group, Yantai Port Group, and UMS Company to establish the SMB-Winning Consortium in Guinea. It went deep into Guinea, Africa, to develop bauxite resources, build ports and roads, and provide maritime logistics support, committed to creating a two-way maritime logistics channel connecting China and Africa and building a stable bauxite supply chain.
In November 2015, the first batch of 180,000 tons of bauxite was shipped to China's Yantai Port, successfully opening a maritime transport channel of more than 14,000 nautical miles. Thanks to the efforts of the Winning Consortium led by Winning International Group, Guinea has now replaced Australia as China's main bauxite supplier.
In 2018, the Winning Consortium mining project achieved annual exports of over 40 million tons of bauxite to China, directly and indirectly creating more than 10,000 local jobs and providing livelihoods for 100,000 to 150,000 Guineans, making it a successful example of China's Belt and Road initiative!
In November 2019, the Winning Consortium won the bid for Blocks 1 and 2 of the Simandou iron ore mine, once again helping Guinea unlock its abundant and high-quality iron ore resources. Simandou is the world's largest, richest, and highest-grade undeveloped high-quality open-pit hematite iron ore deposit, with estimated reserves of billions of tons. Through mining, railway construction, port construction, and community development, it aims to create another mining project with an output capacity of 60 to 80 million tons, benefiting Guinea and its people and fulfilling the Winning Consortium's commitment to transform and develop Guinea.
II. Social Responsibility
Winning Group is not only committed to local infrastructure construction in Guinea but has also initiated the "Sun Xiushun Scholarship - Official Training Program" in the personal name of Group President Mr. Sun Xiushun. This program is implemented in collaboration with the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise as a corporate social responsibility pilot initiative. It aims to provide opportunities for young officials from various fields in Guinea to receive training in Singapore, helping them improve their professional knowledge and management skills, thereby cultivating young officials with greater leadership and global vision for Guinea.
Since June 28, 2018, three batches of young Guinean officials have successfully graduated and returned to their home country to continue contributing in their respective roles, becoming a backbone force for Guinea's future economic transformation.
