Chongqing Performing Arts Group was established in April 2010. It is a large state-owned cultural enterprise group funded and established by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, with total assets of 245 million yuan. It is a *cultural industry demonstration base and a national advanced unit in cultural system reform. The Group owns 18 enterprises of various types, including: 8 wholly-owned subsidiaries (Chongqing Performance Co., Ltd., Chongqing Wenhua Real Estate Co., Ltd., Chongqing Acrobatic Art Troupe Co., Ltd., Chongqing Quyi Troupe Co., Ltd., Chongqing Fine Arts Co., Ltd., Fuling Grand Theatre, Xunbo Ticketing Company, Spain Elai Culture Company), 7 branches (Ballet Branch, Folk Music Branch, Comedy Branch, Stage Art Branch, Chongqing Guotai Art Management Center, Chongqing Performance Theatre Line Company, Guozheng Property Company), 1 holding company (Yihong Film and Television Company), and 2 share-participating companies (Chongqing Grand Theatre, Chongqing Pandos Art Center). It possesses modern theatres with complete functions and advanced equipment, including Chongqing Guotai Art Center, Chongqing Grand Theatre (33% shares), Chongqing Fuling Grand Theatre, and Chongqing Shancheng Quyi Theatre; it has established one performance base in the United States. Its main business scope includes stage art production, performance planning and marketing, performance brokerage, theatre operation, stage art production and leasing, cultural art festival and exhibition planning, art training, art derivative product development, cultural relic restoration and real estate development, film and television production, etc. The Group currently has nearly 700 employees. In recent years, Chongqing Performing Arts Group, through a series of powerful measures such as boldly establishing mechanisms, integrating resources to build the main body, changing concepts to grasp the market, and facing the market to produce good plays, has actively explored a development path suited to its own reality and successfully achieved a perfect "three-step jump" of "laying the foundation—stepping up—great development." Revenue grew from more than 30 million yuan initially to over 100 million yuan in 2011 and more than 168 million yuan in 2014, more than four times the total revenue before the system reform. In 2014, the number of performances reached more than 1,600, of which commercial performances reached more than 1,200. The Group has also developed from an initial scale of 3 subordinate companies into a diversified, cluster-style development scale with more than 10 subsidiaries (branches). In 2010, it established a *performance base in the United States, and in 2012 it invested in and established the *overseas performance company Elai Culture in Spain.
