China Aerospace Construction Group Co., Ltd. (formerly known as: China Aerospace Architecture Design and Research Institute (Group)) was founded in 1965, referred to as "Aerospace Seventh Academy", and is a large comprehensive construction enterprise in Beijing directly under China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. For nearly half a century, Aerospace Construction Group has undertaken the consulting and design work for most of the engineering projects in the aerospace field, and has made indelible contributions to the rapid development of China's aerospace industry and its undertakings in major projects such as manned spaceflight, lunar exploration, and the first space rendezvous and docking. The Seventh Academy is mainly engaged in various construction projects including survey and design, engineering consulting, planning, engineering general contracting, real estate development, engineering supervision, building construction, geotechnical construction, foundation treatment, municipal engineering, environmental impact assessment and safety evaluation, with an annual output value of 10 billion yuan. The Seventh Academy currently possesses Grade A comprehensive engineering design qualification, Grade A urban and rural planning compilation, Grade A comprehensive engineering survey, Grade A surveying and mapping, Grade A engineering consulting, Grade A engineering supervision, Grade A engineering cost consulting, Grade A safety evaluation institution, and Grade A geological disaster risk assessment qualifications. It is one of only eight enterprises in the country that simultaneously hold the "double Grade A" qualifications of comprehensive design Grade A and urban and rural planning Grade A; it holds construction enterprise qualifications such as general contracting for housing construction projects, general contracting for municipal public works, general contracting for mechanical and electrical installation projects, professional contracting for fire protection facilities projects, and design and construction of intelligent building projects; it has qualifications for real estate development, engineering bidding agency, environmental impact assessment of construction projects, pressure pipeline design, etc.; it has the right to operate foreign engineering general contracting; as a high-tech enterprise, it has a Beijing-level enterprise technology center. The Seventh Academy has over 40 subordinate units including design branches (institutes), business divisions, wholly-owned subsidiaries, and holding companies. It has more than 5,000 employees, including more than 1,000 technical personnel in design consulting, among whom there are 2 *engineering survey and design masters, 75 national first-class registered architects and national first-class registered structural engineers, and a total of 703 registered engineers of various types, including more than 20 experts enjoying special government allowances of the State Council, *survey and design masters, and provincial and ministerial-level experts with outstanding contributions, and more than 900 people with intermediate and senior professional and technical positions. It has basically formed an excellent talent team with high educational levels, a reasonable professional echelon, and strong comprehensive qualities. In recent years, the Seventh Academy has completed a large number of urban landmark buildings at home and abroad, such as the Beijing Olympic Games Laoshan Velodrome, Laoshan Mountain Bike Course, Beijing Planetarium New Hall, China FAW Group Qiming Science and Technology Park, Lhasa Cultural and Sports Center, Anshan International Pearl Reception Center, Chinese Embassy in Germany, and other engineering design projects. In addition, it has also completed engineering survey and agent construction projects such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Wukesong Basketball Arena, Fengtai Baseball Field, and the Modern Pentathlon Comprehensive Hall of the General Administration of Sport of China, and participated in the design of security technology systems for more than 90 Olympic venues, the security technology system for the 26th World University Games, and the intelligent transportation and safe city project in Minsk, Belarus.
